How this card works
This is a very basic cash back rewards card. It offers Prime members 5% cash back on Amazon.com and Whole Foods purchases. Get 2% cash back at restaurants, gas stations, and drugstores, and 1% cash back everywhere else. Your cash back can be redeemed for statement credit or deposited electronically into a bank account.
Benefits include extended warranty coverage and buyer protection. And get Baggage Delay Insurance and Lost Baggage Compensation while you travel. You can also get some travel and shopping discounts through the Visa Signature program. This card has no annual fee and no foreign transaction fees.
Benefits
This card offers excellent returns on purchases from Amazon.com and Whole Foods stores. And the 2% cashback discount on purchases at restaurants, gas stations, and drugstores is also reasonable. This card also includes some valuable travel insurance and purchase protection benefits. Bonus cards with no annual fee and no foreign transaction fee are also welcome.
Disadvantages
For all rewards, this card does not offer new account bonuses or advertising funds of any kind. While it offers strong travel benefits that you’ll need to pay for travel with the card to get those benefits, you’ll only get 1% cash back on travel purchases.
Alternatives
Target RedCard. Aim for the red card. This card offers 5% cash back on purchases at Target stores and online at Target.com. Benefits include free shipping, exclusive deals, and an additional 30 days for returns and exchanges. However, it’s a loyalty card, so it’s not part of a larger payment network, so it can’t be used for purchases from companies other than Target. There is no annual fee for this card.
Citi’s Costco Anywhere Visa® credit card. This card earns 4% cash back when you spend up to $6,000 a year on gas, including at Costco, you’ll also get 3% cash back on restaurants and eligible travel, 2 at Costco and Costco.com % cash back, and 1% cash back on all other purchases. There is no annual fee for paid Costco members.
Capital One Walmart Rewards® Card. This card gives you 5% cash back on Walmart.com purchases, including pickup and delivery. Get 2% cash back at Walmart stores, restaurants, and travel, and 1% everywhere else. There is no annual fee for this card.
الحد الأدنى
The Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card offers great cash back rewards on Amazon.com and Whole Foods purchases, but not much else. At restaurants, gas stations, and pharmacies, you get moderate premiums, but no new account bonuses or other financing benefits. But if earning the most cash back on your Amazon purchases is your top priority, this card is hard to beat.
