Starting today, consumers with an American Express Blue Cash Everyday Card can enjoy higher cash back rates at approved gas stations and online retailers.

Still with no annual fee, the highly rated card now also offers a $15 monthly credit for purchases from chef kit company Home Chef, and a $7 monthly credit for consumers eligible to subscribe to the Disney Bundle, It’s a streaming subscription that includes Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+.

What are the main new features of the Blue Cash Everyday Card?

American Express’ Blue Cash Everyday Card now earns 3% cash back at U.S. gas stations and up to $6,000 a year in U.S. online retail spending in each category. Previously, cardholders could earn 2% and 1% back in these categories, respectively.

In addition to cash-back bonuses, home cooks and Disney bundles may be useful to consumers using these services. American Express has also removed the minimum redemption amount — previously the minimum balance was $25.

Cardholders can continue to use existing benefits such as B. 3% cash back on grocery purchases worth up to $6,000 per year at U.S. supermarkets and access to the American Express experience.

With these updates, American Express’s Blue Cash Everyday Card earns higher gas prices than Discover it chrome, which earns a 2% return on gas with the highest quarterly cap.

Discover It Chrome earns up to $1,000 in combined quarterly gas station and restaurant purchases and 2% cash back at restaurants, while the Blue Cash Everyday Card does not earn additional cash back on restaurant purchases. But the Blue Cash has other reward categories and higher caps, so you can choose a card that better suits your spending habits.

If you’re looking for a no-annual-fee card with travel rewards, consider a card like Chase Freedom Unlimited instead of the Blue Cash Everyday Card. Among other things, Chase Freedom Unlimited offers a 5% refund on travel booked through Chase Ultimate Rewards (6.5% for the first year or the first $20,000 spent on the card).

If you want to earn valuable rewards without an annual fee, the Blue Cash Everyday Card from American Express is a great option.
