The first thing you need to do is find the nearest Caixa branch, keeping in mind that it's not available in every city in Brazil. According to the information provided on Caixa's website, you don't need to have a checking account with the institution to apply for one.
Once you've located the institution closest to you, simply gather the following documents, which are essential to verify your identity and the information you've provided:
- Photo ID and CPF;
- proof of income;
- proof of address.
Remember again that as we mentioned earlier, this card requires proof of R$ 15,000 to be approved, otherwise it is advisable to look for a more affordable card.
After submitting all required documents, you must provide additional information not included on the receipt, such as phone calls and emails, which are essential for communication between the company and its customers.
As this form is the easiest request and does not require filling out any data, simply wait until Caixa performs a credit analysis, a process that can take up to 15 business days, not only authorizing the use of the card, but also providing the initial credit limit to be used.
If your credit card is approved, you will have to wait until it is shipped to your registered address, which can take up to 15 days depending on the delivery service in your area and whether anyone in your home accepts the physical card.
Unfortunately, Caixa is still somewhat limited in the application possibilities it offers its customers, but this also guarantees the institution's security, especially with such a comprehensive card.
