American Express and Delta Air Lines are launching a new co-branded credit card that will delight frequent flyers for a number of reasons.

First, this credit card doesn’t just collect miles — because the limited-edition Boeing 747 Card is the first-ever credit card made from aircraft metal, it can accrue miles. Specifically, each card is 25% metal recovered from a retired Boeing 747-400 Delta Ship #6307.

Jon Ganttman, senior vice president and general manager of co-brand product management at American Express, told Fortune: “Our Delta cardholders’ love of travel inspires us, as do many who are passionate about aviation. So.” “We did research with our customers. After the focus group, there was a comment about making a credit card out of an airplane. The idea stuck.”

Dubbed the “Queen of the Air,” the Boeing plane was an iconic aviation leader in what was then the “Golden Age of Travel” and was so entwined with pop culture that many people often refer to the jumbo jet model as the 747.

“The Boeing 747 holds a special place in the hearts of travelers; when it was introduced, the Boeing 747 was the largest commercial aircraft and set a new standard for the modern travel industry,” Ganttman said.

Cardholders can learn more about the 747’s history through an augmented reality experience that includes interviews with Delta’s pilots and crew members and a closer look at the process of converting footage of the airliner into a credit card.

American Express and Delta have built long-term partnerships for over 60 years with a range of Delta-branded American Express cards, and the financial services giant’s proprietary cards, such as the Platinum, offer Delta special benefits such as access to Delta Air Lines Sky Lounge.

Limited edition Delta SkyMiles Reserve and Reserve Business Cards are available to new and existing US cardholders. Current Delta SkyMiles Reserve Card members can apply for the card online using the American Express mobile app or by calling the toll-free number on the back of their card.

While American Express officials didn’t say exactly how many cards will be offered — other than the company making as many as possible from Boeing 747s — there is a time limit, as it will only be available until August 3. 2022.
