The Apple Card was the first credit card offered by Apple, issued by Goldman Sachs. It is designed to work with the iPhone’s wallet app and Apple Pay.
You’ll also receive a physical card — your name is laser-etched into a titanium surface — that you can also wear when you can’t make digital payments.
Unlike most credit cards, there is no card number or CCV code on the Apple Card. If you need this information, it is stored in your wallet app. In other words, using this map without an iPhone is difficult.
Unique features of Apple Card
In many ways, the Card is a simple credit card, but it has some unique features worth noting.
The card is primarily used in the iPhone’s Wallet app, and you can use it to pay for products with Apple Pay on your iPhone or Apple Watch.
Combine Card with Apple Pay for the best rewards, including:
- Get up to 3% back on purchases at participating retailers.
- 3% back on all purchases made directly from Apple, such as at the Apple Store or through the App Store.
- 2% back on all other Apple Pay purchases.
If you use a physical Titan card instead of Apple Pay, you’ll get 1% back.
Instead of waiting 30 days for your rewards to be credited to your account, all rewards are credited to your wallet’s Apple Cash account every day. You can use Apple Cash to make purchases or pay your Apple Card balance.

The Card has no annual fee and no late fees. On the Card website, Apple says the card has “no fees. There’s not even a hidden fee,” which includes all the usual fees typically charged on traditional credit cards, such as cash-advance fees and international purchases.
Because Card is deeply integrated with Wallet and Apple Pay, you can get a wealth of information about every purchase—you can even tap a purchase in your transaction history to see a map of where it was purchased.
When it’s time to pay a bill, a clever interface lets you “dial in” the balance you want to pay, so you can see exactly how much interest and principal you’re paying when you choose the amount.
How to get an Card
There is no online application for the Apple Card. To apply, open the Wallet app on your iPhone and tap the “+” button in the upper right corner. Select Apple Card and fill out the form.

The verification process only takes a few minutes, and you can immediately use your card with your approved line of credit.
How to pay with Apple Card
You can use your Card in three ways: using the Wallet app and Apple Pay, swiping your physical card when Apple Pay isn’t available, and providing your credit card number to a merchant.
After you complete the application process, your Card will be automatically added to your Wallet app, and you can use Apple Pay to make purchases like any other credit card added to your iPhone.
Once you receive your physical card, you can also swipe it at a point-of-sale terminal. However, the card does not work with contactless terminals – if contactless purchases are an option, consider using Apple Pay on your iPhone or Apple Watch.
Finally, if you need your card number and CCV code to make a purchase, eg B. When you buy something over the phone, your Card can generate a secure virtual credit card number for making purchases outside of Apple Pay.
How to find this number and CCV code:
1. Open the wallet app.
2. Tap Apple Card.
3. Tap the three dots in the upper right corner.
4. Click “Card Information”.
5. You should see the card number, expiration date and CCV code.
6. You can click “Apply for a new card number” when you suspect that your current card number has been stolen – you will immediately get a new virtual card number without having to apply for a new physical card from Apple.
