The store, called Loft credit card , was established in 1996 as the Ann Taylor Loft, an extension of popular womenswear brand Ann Taylor. While the Loft remains focused on matching home and work, it has traditionally offered lighter, more casual options than its more formal ancestors. Many of the 500-plus loft stores are located in suburban malls across the country, although some can be found at stand-alone or strip mall locations.

Given that typical loft tops range in price from $30 to $50, and the average dress costs over $70, many loyal loft shoppers may be looking for ways to save on casual clothes. The Love Loft Credit Card offers cardholders a way to earn bonus points on every Loft purchase, but like most loyalty cards, it’s a poor way to shop unless you can cash it out right away.

On the plus side, the Love credit card offers pretty good rewards rates. Of course, like the card, these rewards can only be used on purchases from Ann Inc., although they can often be combined with Loft coupons for additional savings.

While the Love credit card rewards are quite competitive, for many shoppers, the most important thing is the discount. Not only do new cardholders get 15% off their first purchase when they first open and use the card, but all cardholders get 15% off their Ann Inc. purchases on the first Tuesday of every month. Cardholders also get an additional rebate once a year and a $15 coupon every birthday month.

If you’re looking for a card that you can use to buy work clothes even with bad credit, this probably isn’t the right card for you. You generally need at least a fair credit rating or better to get a Love Loft credit card.
